During the 2008 camp session, the Board of Directors of Camp S.O.C.K. offered board positions to Tricia Settle of Bandon, OR and Susan McKeller of Klamath Falls, OR; both pleasurably accepted. Mckeller and Settle bring extraordinary talents to camp, not to mention a great passion and care for the youth we strive to serve. Settle started at Camp S.O.C.K. as a peer counselor at age 12; she is one of just two people who have attended camp since 2000, before the camp was even known as S.O.C.K. She always rises to the challenge and now, at age 18, she has become the youngest member of the Board of Directors in history. Mckeller, known as Nurse Susan at camp has been involved with Camp S.O.C.K. since its inception in 2001. She has provided her nursing expertise to camp as well as her ambient caring personality and her countless enjoyable songs. She joins her husband, Dr. Jon Mckeller on the board. One thing is certain, these two women will definitely bring new perspectives and ideas to this wonderful camp.
Congratulations!
